If there is no survey, we sample first and wait for UKAS-accredited lab analysis. That result decides whether the work is licensed, notifiable non-licensed or non-licensed — nothing is priced or planned before it comes back.

Notification

Licensed work is notified to the HSE fourteen days before it starts on an ASB5. Notifiable non-licensed work is notified too. That notice period sets the earliest possible start date.

Controls and removal

Licensed work runs inside a sealed enclosure with airlocks, negative pressure units, RPE and a decontamination unit. Non-licensed work uses controlled wetting, hand tools and double bagging.

Clearance and paperwork

An independent UKAS analyst carries out the four-stage clearance. You receive the Certificate of Reoccupation, air monitoring results and waste consignment notes.
