Specialist environmental clean in the arches beneath one of the UK’s busiest stations, planned around live rail operations with possessions and permits. Areas handed back clean, documented and ready for follow-on works.
The clean was planned around live operations with zoned work areas, appropriate RPE and extraction, and finished with a photographic completion report and waste transfer documentation.

Following a site visit on the agreed date with the principal contractor and Innov8, attended by our project manager and the principal contractor’s representative, the required remedial actions were assessed, and it was agreed that works commenced on Monday, the agreed date. Innov8 UK Group has been instructed to carry out the environmental cleaning of AIB residues to the ceiling timber framework, as presumed to be present by the client ARMS report, within Space 48.
Additionally, in the adjoining Space 49 (storeroom), the scope of works included the removal of AIB debris from the top of the electrical box and floor, as well as the encapsulation of the AIB ceiling, which remained in situ. All works were undertaken under fully controlled conditions, and in strict compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012
Enclosure & Air Management, Full enclosure with negative pressure unit (NPU) was erected where required, airlocks and bag locks were used to prevent fibre release, Smoke testing of enclosures prior to works.
OBSTRUCTIONS MAKING ACCESS AND THE WORKS MORE DIFFICULT There is road works in the vicinity leading up to Dark Neville Street. All works were carried out within arches of Leeds station underpass, so access to space 48 & 49 is naturally unconventional.
